My heart is happy, because God has answered me again!
Many times I have wondered and prayed, Is this where I’m
suppose to be in life? Did I miss a turn
somewhere? Do I need to change something? Will I ever understand? Is this by Your choice, or mine?

When the servant of
the Lord walks in darknes... let Him trust in the name of the Lord and stay upon His God. Isa 50:10
The Israelites probably thought many of the same questions
after a few years in the wilderness.
Where are we going? Weren’t we
going to the Promised Land? Did we get mixed up and follow the wrong "cloud"? Was it supposed
to take this long?
Yet in Exodus 13:18 God lets us know, HE is the one who LED them
through the WILDERNESS… Intentionally! HE
led them… It was HIS direction. It was not just an accident. But why
would He take them the long way around?
The answer is not new to me, but this morning my heart
understood it! That is where He taught
them to trust Him! He knew when they
left Egypt
if they saw war they would’ve just retreated; but He wanted to prepare them to
be victorious in taking the Promised Land.
He knew that would only be possible if they learned to depend on Him so HE
LED THEM THROUGH THE WILDERNESS... INTENTIONALLY!
God sure knows exactly what words we need to hear… aren’t you
grateful? I am! :o) | | |
| This time it’s just light flurries, though. But my heart is happy again this
morning. It gets that way whenever I
hear the Lord. This morning He reminded
me that He works through the process of time.
Exodus 2:23 says, “… it came to pass in the process of time...” God had not forgotten Israel. He knew their need and He was working, but He
chose to work through the process of time.
It was also interesting to me when I read Genesis
30:6, I realized Rachel incorrectly interpreted her circumstances. When she could not conceive a child she said,
“God has judged me.” In reality that was not the case at all. Although she did not know this at the time,
God lets us know in Genesis 30:22 that He had not forgotten her. He just chose to work though the process of
time. She could have rested and just
waited on Him. He was going to
accomplish His will through her life. In
fact, He had a special plan for her life.
He chose to give her the son that became MIGHTY for HIM… but it was
later than she expected and sometimes we panic when we see time passing, but
God doesn’t. He works through the
process of time!

For some reason, I just love cozy winter days… when the
electricity is working, that is! Hot
coffee, warm apple crisp, time to work on projects, and pretty music... it’s so
fun to be stuck at home! (at least for a little while.)

This weekend I’ve made significant progress on a 20,000 word
paper that I want to finish up. It has
been on my "To Do List" for many, many months now. (only because I've procrastinated working on it.) I can hardly imagine what it will be like to
have it done! My heart is happy. Like so many situations in life, God often
has hidden blessings for us even in storms. :o)
